What is Purchase Frequency?

Purchase frequency is the amount of purchases a customer makes from your ecommerce site within a given period of time. Peel’s analytics tools can help you look at the purchase frequency for customers or customer groups (referred to as cohorts) to help you optimize for greater frequency. The more customers you have buying frequently, the better it is for your overall business. This goes along with increasing customer loyalty. The most loyal customers are the ones who trust your brand and your products, and who purchase frequently.

How to calculate and improve purchase frequency

To calculate purchase frequency take the total number of orders you have in a given period and divide it by the number of unique customers you have in the same period.
